Here's What The Next Subaru WRX STi Could Look Like
This is what the next Subaru WRX STi could look like, and we’re not complaining. The divisive – but devastatingly capable – car is soon up for retirement, and its replacement is looking like a handsome beast, if it follows this example.
Subaru has released just a couple of teaser shots ahead of the Viziv Performance Concept’s debut at the Tokyo Motor Show next month. We’ve seen this style of grille and front end before, but here, in a coupe body, it looks even more promising.
In the second teaser shot we can see huge, Nissan GT-R-esque rear wheel arches that curve up into what looks like a neat boot lip spoiler. We like.
It’s almost certainly a preview of the next version of the hot all-wheel drive supercar chaser, and if the outstanding talents of the current one are anything to go by, its replacement should be a hell of a thing not just to drive, but to look at as well.

Didn’t they just redo the WRX platform in 2015? I feel like at this point they would give it a facelift and maybe some engine upgrades, but I would think they wouldn’t actually redo the platform for another 5-7 years
If you think of it, they changes thier designs every 2-3 years
they already did a facelift, new generation will be due 2020, when I graduate college lol
I hope they keep the AWD along the ICE boxer engine
Those are defining traits by now, they wouldn’t lose them
I don’t see an Audi in this…
It’s not a coupe… O-O
But will it be available as a hatch?
LOL
I remember seeing a similar concepts more than 4 years ago and everybody went crazy on how good looking it was, then… they released what is on sale now: still very good car, but screaming for change for at least a decade.
I bet they still kept the EJ25!
The thing is that the blue neon grill gives me the feeling its going to be hybrid.
I’m calling bull, they won’t be that daring/fresh with the design
TurboToddler (Straight-five)
Supercar chasing..
CarThrottle at a new level of low
They hit a new low when they called a bad driver names, this is just a wrong prediction. Maybe Subaru will make one of those really turbolaggy special editions like Mitsubishi with the Evo FQ400
