Here's Why the Yugo Is One of the Worst Cars Ever Made

The Yugo is one of the single worst cars ever made. I recently had the chance to spend some time with one to find out exactly why — and you can read about it in my column or check out the video above.

Then some maniac in Illinois decided to make one better…

For some reason, I always liked to drive a Yugo (maybe it has to do with the fact that I live in the town from where the Yugo came), even though I didn’t manage to get several of them over 100 kph. Those that can go over 100, it takes a considerable amount of time to do that (45 seconds-1 minute). I passed my license test on Yugo, -5 degrees outside, 10 years old Yugo, 20 cm of snow (no power steering or abs). That was the time :)

Put some 1.6 or 2.0 Lancia Delta/Fiat Ritmo in one of theese, adapt the suspention and brakes and you will get yourself one hell of a pocket rocket/rally car
