Here's Your First Glimpse Of The 1000bhp Mercedes-AMG Hypercar
We’re not supposed to be seeing the new Mercedes-AMG hypercar until the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, but thanks to the above image, we’re getting an early look at its shapely rear.
The teaser picture was shown during a press conference at CES in Las Vegas, revealing a low and wide stance, an interesting looking central aero piece running down the roof and to the back of the car, and a pair of rather cool triangular vents. Underneath those vents will sit an engine derived from Mercedes-AMG’s 1.6-litre turbo V6 (yep, the engine that’s currently dominating F1), putting out somewhere in the region of 1000bhp.
Pricing estimates vary, but it’s looking like it’ll cost somewhere in the region of £2 - 3 million, similar to the figures touted for the incoming Aston Martin RB 001. It’s a great time to be a stupidly rich car fan…
