Here's Your First Look At The New Face Of The Tesla Model S

Ahead of the car's full reveal, an image of the facelifted Tesla Model S has been circulating online

We’re not due to see the facelifted Tesla Model S until later today, but if you’re impatient, here’s an early peak. As you can see, the old oval section in the front has disappeared, replaced with the same ‘mouthless’ look first seen on the Model X crossover.

As well as the new look, we can also expect more speed, with a P100D set to join the ranks.

Stay tuned for more details and images.

I understand it obviously doesn’t need a grill for the radiator etc. However, with a car so focused at aerodynamics and energy saving, surely a grill with a duct that led to an exit over the arches or something similar to the GT3 RS would be so much more efficient…

that type of grill is good to create donwforce and not lowering drag…

To everyone saying that it looks bad without a grill. Because grill is used for petrol engines, the no-grill design is a great way to show that the car is electric and it is „different” from theother sheeps. That, and many futuristic car designs do not have grill, so this design can be used to make the car look more Futuristic.
I, personally, like the design because of the futuristic look

I think it’ll look better in countries that require a front-mounted Number Plate (eg: the UK). Without it, it does look odd.

I like it. I wish that this becomes their basic design language as the kidney grills are for BMW so the aging process of the cars is less dramatic. I also think the production Model 3 will get the same treatment in order to have continuity among the models.

If only the batteries didn’t weigh so goddamn much. That 100kWh pack must take an eternity to charge and make the car wallow about even more.

if i am not mistaken the change in power is made mostly by improving the cells, so the pack is the same weight probably…
