Here's Your First Look At The New Volvo V90
Here is the new Volvo V90, the latest car in Volvo’s revamped model range. The Swedish manufacturer’s Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) underpins all its new cars, starting with the glorious XC90 and, more recently, the delightfully swoopy S90 saloon.
We’ve loved the Scandinavians’ new design language so far, which has taken the traditional Volvo values of sturdiness and modernised them into a more upmarket, luxurious appearance. This new V90 is a pretty big deal for Volvo, as its wagons have achieved cult status, and are the best selling cars in its homeland.
Design-wise, the front end clearly wears the new family face, with the ‘Thor’s Hammer’ headlights and a grille with the Volvo logo spearing through. Inside you can expect more of the same classy, minimalist design seen on the rest of the range.
Thanks to that SPA, it’s pretty easy to speculate on what engines to expect, with 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engines sporting variations of turbocharging and hybridisation to differentiate trim levels, as well as the D4 and D5 diesel engines.
The Volvo V90 will make its debut at the Geneva motor show in March.

Now this is what I call the Swaggon!
I can only think: polestar
Ultimate wagon!
Sorry but the first one was the XC90 which you can see since several month on European streets.
But that’s a SUV, they’re talking about the first Wagon.
Handsome but rear looks like a last model with part of new Audi A4 rear lights on the tailgate
yeah and then like a v60, awful design
Volvo is doing it right.
Looks like a brick on wheels. APPROVED!
imo every modern car looks the same with this new “sharp edge” design
It looks good! Somehow the rear seems like a mixing of a 7 Series BMW and a Passat with some Volvo in there but it looks agressive, so as the front! I don’t know about you but i’m certainly in the mood for one :D
When I’m a bit older and looking in the second hand car market for a family car this could will probably be a contender.
I don’t know what it is, but wagons have a soft spot in my heart.
