The Honda NSX Has Been Delayed By Six Months

If you’re one of the lucky people awaiting delivery of the new Honda NSX, here’s some bad news. Deliveries were expected at the end of this year, however Honda has revealed that these will now take place in Spring 2016.

Honda is blaming the fact it changed the engine layout during production, which has had a knock on effect to the vehicle going on sale. A Honda spokesperson said: "With Acura announcing the delay of the NSX, that will affect mass production [of the Honda version] for Europe as it all comes from the same factory. It will be spring 2016, but there is no definite date yet.”

Power comes from a 3.5-litre, longitudinally-mounted twin-turbo V6, which works with a direct drive electric motor through a nine-speed transmission to power the rear wheels. As well as all that, two electric motors sit over the front axle powering the front wheels.

The delay will come as a disappointment to owners, who have been waiting a while for their cars - the UK’s allowance had already sold out in November last year.
