Hot Or Not: Audi S3 Cabriolet

At next month's Geneva motor show, Audi is introducing a soft-top version of the S3. The cabriolet gets the same 296bhp 2.0-litre turbo engine shared across the S3 range, completing the 0-62mph sprint 5.4 seconds thanks, in part, to the Quattro all-wheel drive system.

It's a four-seater, covered by an electrohydraulic soft top, which has been made as light as possible so it doesn't hinder performance too much. It'll open or close in 18 seconds, operating up to a speed of 31mph.

So the S3 cabriolet takes the hot hatch formula and infuses it with the thrill of open top motoring. The question is though, is it hot or not?
