Some people say if you use non-synthetic oil on your car since the first oil change and then start useing synthetic oil, you are going to damage the engine. Is that true? And if yes, why is it so?

i’m not sure about that, but a known “problem” is that sometimes when you put synthetic oil on an old car with mineral oil, the engine starts leaking. Since “dirt” inside the engine kept the leaks sealed and now synthetic oil cleans the engine, freeing the leaks that now you can see. So some people think synthetic oil damage the engine, when it just cleans the engine and show you that it needs attention.

i have read that. I think that putting a better oil to your engine isn’t going to make damage, but i’m not a mechanic so i’m not sure

Love this vid! I agree with the synthetic oil part, although mechanics recommend using a nano-based oil additive. The truck drivers at Wil Trans swear by the Everglide oil additive as it prolongs their engine life and also extends their oil drain interval. Thanks man for this vid. Engaging and informational, as always!
