How Does The Fiat 124 Spider Compare To The Mazda MX-5?
Despite being essentially the same car as the MX-5 underneath, the 124 Spider has a different engine and chassis setup. Motor Trend's Jason Cammisa thought he'd try and find out which he prefers, but that's not an easy question to answer...

First unbiased comparison of the two. You can tell he had an open mind when he compared the two. As far as which one I would choose, maybe the 124, a couple of little things and the 124 could be a beast (exhaust, Throttle body, and a tune)
Since they are more or less the same car under the hood, I think that it’s all about what style you like the most. The Miata has a more modern, angular and “aggressive” styiling, while the 124 has a rounded, fluent, “modern classic” style, that screams “60s italian sport car” all over. You just have to pick what style you like the most, IMHO.
