That’s pretty weird when someone is driving basically like on street and suddenly back drifts off. Made me afraid of driving through rain now ;o

The reason why it is so slippery on the track, is because there is a layer of rubber on the track, because of cars cornering hard. On public roads usually there is no layer of rubber, so that’s not a problem, although being careful when the road is wet is a good thing.
