The Huansu C60 Definitely Isn't A Blatant Lamborghini Urus Rip-Off

This is the Huansu C60, and it isn’t a complete Lamborghini Urus rip-off. No sir. It just looks really, really similar. To the point that if you squint quite a bit, you might mistake it for the £200k Lamborghini.

To be fair to the C60, it looks less like Sant’Agata Bolognese’s new SUV from the side and rear, and it’s not anywhere near as blatant as some Chinese copycat cars. We’re looking at you, Land Wind X7.

As you’d expect, it is significantly cheaper than the Urus at 100,000 - 150,000 Yuan, which which is about £11,500 to £17,500. But what’s under the bonnet is a little less impressive - instead of a twin-turbo V8, it sports a 2.0-litre inline-four turbocharged petrol engine developing just shy of 200bhp.

And here's the real thing...

The Huansu Not-An-Urus-Honest will be made by a company called Beiqi Yinxiang Automobile, a joint venture of the Yinxiang Motorcycle Group and state-owned BAIC (Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co), Car News China reports. It also has one thing over the car which definitely didn’t inspire it - unlike the Urus, you can option it with seven seats!

To be fair, the only close bit is the front end, and it looks more like they were inspired by the Urus more than a simple copy. They did use their own design cues and it looks interesting. And I will dare say I prefer the sides and rear end on the Huansu: If I’m even remotely gonna appreciate an SUV, it better be an actual SUV, not a fat hipped blob trying to be both a supercar and a lifted mommy-cruiser. That concept only works with wagons (i.e. Porsche Sport Turismo).
