Think you’re a dab hand at computing, and fancy a nice cash windfall? Then we suggest you get yourself along to Beijing’s SyScan internet security conference on 16-17 July. Why? According to Forbes, the organisers are challenging conference visitors to hack into a Tesla Model S. This could include anything from playing about with the car’s interior displays, to even operating the whole car.

Tesla itself isn’t involved in the hacking contest, but hopefully the company will be able to learn from any successful attempts at compromising the car’s security to increase its robustness. As we’ve seen before, hacking older cars isn’t as difficult as you’d think.
