If You Could Use A Porsche 911 As A Giant Controller For Doom, It'd Look Like This
It’s amazing what you can find on YouTube. From a dirt biker landing on a Jeep to a guy selecting reverse at 70mph for ‘science’, we’ve seen some mad videos lately. But a guy modding a Porsche 911 to act as a massive controller for playing Doom? That’s a whole new level of bonkers.
It’s fake though, sadly. The video is from a YouTuber with a curious sense of humour, with previous efforts including “how to mod any toaster to control pc games in 3 easy steps“. That’s the same toaster seen rattling around the passenger side of the car, by the way.
He even jumped into the Reddit thread about the video, explaining the suspicious cut at the 2min 48sec mark by saying it was “because there was a half-second near the end in my driveway where the thinning of my hair was much more visible than I was comfortable with, so I edited that part out”. Legend.
Meanwhile, he popped up in the comments on PC Gamer’s coverage to say “I really wanted to film this on a track (then I could say that you strafe by drifting)” - now that would have been quite a video…
Comments
“I tried it on my car. It works so well that it even shows up on the head-up display. It is so realistic!”

Well then…
HOLD ON I NEED TO KILL OFF THE CYBERDEMON beep beep beep beep beep beep
I guess thats ONE more thing to play doom on (the most insane I’ve heard of other than an old mac or a calculator playing doom is the “doom piano”)
So that what BMW driver are playing.
Gran turismo in my honda works well
It’s PorschE… EEEEEEEEE…. Not Porsch! God damn, get your sh*t together billy…
I guess he likes the Porsche 911 because that’s the only number he called after filming this video.
Why? Because he needed the ambulance after crashing. Oh the misery, oh the DOOM…
I’d like to do try that in my vw but it doesn’t have a usb port lol
Just awesome and even more important a manual 911 in usa
Great just what we need more distracted people in high end sports cars
