If You Drive Your Plane To The Pub, The Cops Won't Be Happy

Although this image of a wing-less light aircraft parked outside a pub in Newman, Western Australia, looks rather amusing, local police aren’t particularly amused by the guy that put it there. According to BBC News Australia, a 37-year-old man - who doesn’t have a pilot’s license - had just purchased the incomplete plane, and stopped at a pub on the way home to grab a drink.

The propeller was apparently left spinning while he was enjoying his refreshing beverage, and an exposed fuel line was spotted leading into the cabin and into a jerry can. Sounds safe.

Police have charged the man, and he’ll be appearing in court on 18 November.
