If You Own A New Hilux, Avoid Sudden Changes Of Direction At All Costs
When conducting the 'Moose Test', Swedish publication Teknikens Värld found out the hard way that the new Toyota Hilux fails. And this isn't the first time, either...
The video above is a demonstration of how the new Hilux copes with swift changes of direction at just 37mph. As you can see, the Hilux almost tips over, echoing the result of an older Hilux back in 2007 (you can see this in the video too). What this shows, is that minimal progress has been made in almost a decade, which is obviously cause for concern. To that end, make sure any sudden changes of direction are avoided, even if you are faced with an angry moose…

I think these guys have missed the point.
It’s a Hilux. You drive THROUGH the moose.
yeah, you should also drive through a dog passing by or an alcoholic/idiot on the road
So NEVER turn the wheel when driving a hilux….should make for an interesting drive.
No, it’s don’t make sudden and drastic turns.
That why they are the best…. Correct me if im wrong but the dinamics of the suspension if they were changed just to pass the moose test they would be the same in off roading… Every african our arab country picks toyota and that is for a reason….
the problem is this is a global pic up, not arabian only domestic car, isuzu is better in the sand and doesn’t fail the moose test
just taliban´s taxi things
They should add this truck to horizon 2 for the fliping
I don’t know who put that car together, but those shocks are definitely not doing their job. They’re too soft!
What if they tried the Toyota above 40mph?
Let’s just say the driver was Alex from Failrace..
As someone who owned an SSR Hilux for about 13 years I find this very disappointing, but at the same time wonder why the Hilux happens to still be such a popular choice for various motor-sports and off-road driving. Did something significantly change in 2007?
Arabs must be placing orders on the hilux after this ‘’amazing news’’
