If You’ve Always Wanted An (Almost) Standard 180SX, This Is Your Chance

Here’s a rare example of an S13 180SX that hasn't been beaten to the ground or modified beyond recognition, and it’s not even that expensive

Let’s face it, finding an unmodified 180SX is like finding a unicorn. It just doesn’t happen. At all. More often than not we tend to see S13 180SXs and 240SXs slammed to the ground, dented from botched drifting attempts, covered in stickers, or all of the above. And while this specimen may not be 100 per cent free of modification, it comes extremely close. What’s even better? It’s listed for only $7000 Australian (just over £3600).

The 180SX may look suspiciously similar to the 240SX, and that’s because it’s scarcely different. On the outside, there are only minor changes in small details such as taillight style (and that’s dependent on the year). What’s so special about the 180SX is the highly desired SR20DET 2.0-litre turbo that boasts 205bhp and 203 lb ft of torque in stock form.

The only major modifications performed by the owner include an HKS intercooler, HKS exhaust, and HKS turbo timer. That means everything else from the stock height suspension to the meticulously maintained interior and the factory alloys are genuine Nissan parts. A car with this level of quality paired with a £3600 price tag isn’t bound to last long on the market, so the real question is, will whoever buys it next be able to resist temptation and keep it relatively stock, or will it fall into the mass of other highly-modified S13s?
