I'm Driving A BMW M2 For 3 Months: What Do You Want To Know?
TeamCT’s long-term test garage has received an injection of BMW M Division this week, and it’s all thanks to the arrival of this jolly handsome M2. It’ll sit alongside ‘our’ Ford Mustang GT, and the Civic Type R we’ve been running since April - albeit just for a couple of weeks until we hold back the tears and send it back to Honda.
It’s finished in Long Beach Blue, and - as requested by an overwhelming majority of CTzens in a poll we ran a few months back - it’s rocking the six-speed manual gearbox, as opposed to the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
We have a busy schedule in mind for the M2, involving twin tests with competitors and BMW’s own cars, a hot date with Colin - Alex’s E36 M3 - road trips, and a lot more. Most importantly, we want to answer this question over the next three months: is the M2 a worthy M car?
As ever though, we want you guys to get involved with your own suggestions. Is there a particular aspect of M2 ownership you want to know about? Do you think there’s a car we simply have to test it against? Want to know how many bottles of Candyup fit in the boot? Hit the comments section now at let us know.

Does it come with indicators, or are they an extra?
Can you afford it, and if so, will you buy it? Also, what is its family friendly alternative no one has thought of yet?
That would be the four door M3 surely…?
What about cooling management of that engine? Any problems with cooling and overheating?? I am considering a buy one … so this is what I’d like to know
One more vote for that. Is it a proper track day car? Do a 25min+ session on the track at full throttle and see how it goes.
From my experience on older M’s (E36,E46) they need some mods in order to run long stints on the track.
According to some guys with m2’s, trackuse is no problem. Only the tires get too hot after 30 minutes or so. Other brakepads are highly recommended though.
Will get mine next month, but no time for trackday this year :(
Can i have a ride in it? lol
Where did they put the p*ssy magnet?
Is it really a genuine alternative to its big brother m4 is a question which would be good to answer if possible 🙆
Does it fist? Also, on a damp b road on a Sunday morning, is it too crazy? Or is it forgiving enough?
Ahh i would so love to drive one of those
Is it really worth the price? Would you take it over an M3/M4 for the slight price bump?
What’s that weird stick behind the steering wheel on the left for?!
