This Incredible GP2 Battle Proves Just How Talented Jules Bianchi Was

On this day in 2015 we sadly lost Jules Bianchi, an incredible Formula 1 driver taken far too soon. Watching back this epic GP2 battle from before he moved up to F1 is the perfect way to celebrate and appreciate his raw speed and talent

On July 17 last year we sadly lost a hugely talented young racing driver, Jules Bianchi. The Frenchman passed away nine months after sustaining severe head injuries in a crash during the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix, while racing for the Marussia team.

Before he made it to F1, Bianchi impressed in Formula Renault and GP2. During the GP2 feature race at Silverstone in 2011 Bianchi enjoyed this incredible battle for the lead with Christian Vietoris, going on to take an incredible victory.

RIP Jules.

For sure a world champion in the making. Remember this day last year for all the wrong reasons. Rest in peace mate, always thinking of you.

France lost a quite good man that day :( One thing that blows my mind about this video though is the fact that f1 2016 looks just as realistic graphically. It truly felt like the game when that drone was filming x)

3 days after my birthday last year, I heard that Jules died. I was just shocked knowing we had a new casualty in F1, I was hoping Senna would have been the last

I hadn’t heard of him before and man that was amazing…. he was trying everything but that move round the outside… if that had stuck it would have been move of the decade surely.
