Inventive Mechanics Make A Wheel Using Gas Struts

Russian YouTube channel Garage54 is probably known primarily for its stunts involving the construction of wheels with materials you might describe as ‘atypical’. From thousands of nails to Coca-Cola bottles, they’ve done it all.

Or so we thought. The intrepid mechanics - inspired by an unusual bicycle wheel design concept - took it upon themselves to make a wheel using gas struts as spokes. Yes, really.

Despite reinforcing the tyre, the wheel in its initial form couldn’t hold the weight of the Lada it was attached to. After adding some extra struts, however, it was good to go.
