The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Is No Match For A Tesla Model X
Here it is, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk drag race you’ve all been waiting for. Yep, Jeep’s Hellcat-engined brute can be seen in this DragTimes video going head-to-head with a Tesla Model X P100D. In four races, no less.
Each of them plays out pretty much as you’d expect - the vehicles aren’t far off each other in terms of weight, but the Model X has the edge when it comes to power. Factor in the instant torque delivery of electric motors, and the Tesla is able to easily beat the Jeep in each of the four races. In fact, according to DragTimes, the quickest run of 11.2 seconds at 118mph crowns the Model X as the world’s fastest production SUV.
But with a best time of 11.9 seconds at 113mph, the Cherokee is still incredibly fast considering the kind of car it is. And in any case, we’d happily sacrifice a little straight-line speed for that supercharged V8 noise…

so trackhawk is pointless
I agree with the instant torque delivery of a electric engine but who will give up on that bonkers V8 sound
But only one of their doors shut.
To be honest: Both seem a bit uneccesarily bloated. But I guess it makes some borderline sense for an electric car to have that extra body height for extended battery packs.
The Jeep (and Tesla, but that thing wasnt supposed to be an offroader anyway) seems to loose its entire offroad capability because of its “sporty” front bumper aswell. :P
Time to make a demonhawk
This maybe the end of us…..RUN!
finally, DragTimes isn’t just running more and more races against stupidly powerful modded McLarens, and doing everything they can to make the petrol car seem faster… and failing. They did the latter in every Tesla drag race, but have fortunately stopped doing the former.
The Tesla won…but it doesn’t have a V8.
