Kia Is Displaying The Stinger In Very Drifty Fashion At This Year's SEMA Show

Kia has confirmed a special hourly display of drifting Stingers for next week's SEMA show, and there's even an autocross course that you can drive yourself

If you’re going to SEMA this year, you can expect some tyre-shredding, smoke-billowing action from a team of pro drifters courtesy of the Kia Stinger Drift Experience.

Every hour during show times, a team of pro drifters will be showcasing the Stinger in choreographed performances outside the Las Vegas Convention Center. Starting on October 31, they continue to November 2.

But that’s not all. As well as the Drift Experience, Kia is letting the American public in on the action. It has planned a ‘spirited autocross’ course that anyone can drive. We don’t know the criteria to qualify, but a licence may not be necessary.

We’ll be there in force, and so will a Kia Stinger Wide Body Concept. Hope to see you there.

If only I was old enough and had enough money to buy it. I think that it will become a modern classic

I really doubt that. Pretty sure depreciation hits those like a truck. I do agree that Kia rolls out some fine products as of late

Am I the only one that is kind of “meh” on the Stinger? I think it is a big improvement over Kia’s of old, but it still wouldn’t be my first choice. Especially since it doesn’t have a manual option in the US

Why are you complaining about a manual?

Definitely less “meh” than what was rolling out of Japanese lines in the last few years

I was one since they announced the i30 n. We aren’t getting it in the US and can’t import them because of our 25 year rule. It’s the 90s all over again.

Hey at least they’re trying! I mean look at their northern cousin they have to deal with.

I never thought I would ever see “Kia” and “drifting” in the same sentence.

I now definitely want a Stinger GT.
