Koenigsegg Just Wrote An Awesome Middle Finger To The Hypercar Holy Trinity

With everyone salivating over recent LaFerrari vs. McLaren P1 vs. Porsche 918 Spyder triple tests, Koenigsegg has asked why it's not involved using impressive statistics
Koenigsegg Just Wrote An Awesome Middle Finger To The Hypercar Holy Trinity

It’s easy to see why everyone’s getting excited about the Holy Trinity of hypercars being brought together. Here we have the most exclusive cars on Earth made by three of the greatest manufacturers around. They provide an awesome snapshot of where the pinnacle of the automotive world is right now, but there’s one manufacturer that reckons they don’t provide the whole story.

Koenigsegg has just written a brilliant blog post, in which it applauds the efforts of Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche, but wants to let any concerned customers know that its cars are actually faster.

By taking official manufacturer statistics for the 0-186mph (0-300kph) run, Koenigsegg wants it to be known that the One:1 is more than three seconds faster than the LaFerrari, the fastest Holy Trinty car, to that magic number. In fact, it had already managed to undercut the Italian hypercar’s sprint time in 2011 with the Agera R.

While the reason Koenigsegg is probably overlooked is because the Holy Trinity were all constructed at around the same time to provide direct competition to each other, Koenigsegg makes a fair point: it was already making cars like this years ago.

Well the one:1 is 3 secs faster than the p1 on spa. The driver wasn’t even driving the on it’s limits(test runs). The car never went for more laps because it got banned for “making too much noise”. They tried setting a lap record on the ring but some f*cktards decided to put speed limits.

Koenigsegg has had some amazing accomplishments. Not quite an underdog that everyone looks for but cars that definitely demand respect and speak for themselves. I applaud them. Not that the others arent great. Still deserving praise but more hyped about than a koenigsegg

I do like koenigsegg, but I think because the brand isn’t that old the other three companys are compared also because of their history and that the three cars are all hybrid hypercars.
I don’t think they wanted to beat koenigsegg by building them, their aim was to show what’s possible with hybrid thechnology and not build the fastest road going hypercar.

Everyone knows that koenigsegg build faster cars, to make that blog entry just shows that they are a little bit frustrated that they don’t get much attention in the battle against the other hypercars.

Still Koenigsegg has the best hybrid hypercar (Regera) and Christian has said that Koenigsegg is not about high speed records.

Koenigsegg.. the manufacturer everyone is boycotting and not giving the proper attention to… thats ok, they are alone, with hardly a quarter ferrari’s or Porsche’s budget but they stand proud. they make great cars and innovations that are not fairly appreciated. they were denied of using the nurbugring for their test (in contrary with ferrari porsche and mclaren) but in the end only the performance matters.. and Koenigsegg just SMOKES ALL OF THEM EITHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT. so let them overlooking The ONE:1. doesnt matter, one who really knows cars, knows what is the best…

I think the greatest part about the Koenigsegg is that they doesn’t have some big manufacturer behind them saying what to do and giving them all the moneys. Christian can do what ever the f*ck he wants and no one can say no and look what they are making. Fastest production car around Spa with their own test driver who is basically a teen:D and the car wasn’t even as light and powerful as the production One:1 (theres a great article about this). Can’t wait to see the future cars from Koenigsegg.

I think it’s because Koenigsegg is such a young marque, compared to Porsche, Ferrari, and Mclaren. All three marques have such rich, and long histories in both producing some of the greatest sports cars known to man, to being dominant forces in the world of motorsport. Mclaren however can’t make a claim in the road car department, but still the F1 is such a true blue legend in the automobile hierarchy, and there is no disputing McLarens impeccable racing roots. All three names have been more then tried and tested, so it only makes sense that their three halo cars would be given the limelight. Because we expect the best from these three. That and this isn’t their first battle, this trinity is round 2, round 1 was back in the early 2000’s if you count the SLR as more Mclaren then Mercedes. But even then, Porsche and Ferrari have been duking it out for ages, not only do their names have history but their fights too!
