Koenigsegg's test driver hammering an MX-5 around the ring...

I should imagine you don’t get to be Koenigsegg’s factory test driver without having a bit of proven talent. This video is an insight into just how talented Robert Serwanski is as he runs a lap on the Nürburgring in his two litre NC MX-5.

At 3.07 check out his entry into the S from the straight. Then watch it again for the picture-in-picture and see just how calm he is right on that knife edge…

His time here is 07:58.07 with traffic that includes a Porsche 911 GT3 getting in the way of Serwanski after initially blowing past him on a straight.

They were not racing, it’s his buddy in Porsche. Plates are also Swedish. I think role of the GT3 was to make draft for MX5.

Pretty sure Robert Serwanski was thinking this about the 997 GT3 RS 3.8 from the video’s start..

lol he even says at 4:02 “jvla svenne flytta dig” which pretty much translates to “f**ing swede, move” (the porsche was also from sweden)

I especially like how the Porsche whizzes past in the end like he didn’t just get schooled by a 2.0L

Provided he didn’t blow up the motor, he’s golden.

why should the engine blow up? I mean if the engine is stock it should do that anyday. The reason why you should not mess with the engine power output is because you make it unreliable. Bad driving like pushing it from cold or sth. like that would kill the car. But I do not think that this happens here =)

Well ain’t that some sh*t?You can tell he drives high power RMRs for a living when he gets angry at a 3.8L GT3 RS for going too slow.I’m guessing the MX-5 has better tires, adjustable suspension and nothing else

well that is the ring. Things you need is Grip and Breaks….So a lightweight car with done suspension and good tires will rock solid there

this wasn’t a race, he was just taking his MX-5 for a gentle stroll on a track after brunch with the lads on a Sunday. If he was playing The Temptations greatest hits on the stereo i’d say he was a stig
