A Learner Driver Is Insanely Lucky To Be Alive After Her Car Was Crushed By A Tank

These images are the result of a learner driver in Germany who failed to see a tank (because they’re pretty hard to spot) on the road that she was attempting to turn left onto.

While the 18-year-old was attempting the turn onto the Panzerringstraße (tank ring road), the 24-year-old driver of the oncoming 60-tonne tank couldn’t stop the vehicle in time, running over the front of the car like a fist through butter.

Amazingly, the female driver escaped completely unharmed, which is a far cry from the state of the totalled Toyota Yaris.

Had the learner driver turned any more sharply, or had the tank driver put his foot down a little harder, we’d surely be looking at a fatality, not just a lesson in basic driving practice learnt the hard way.

Let’s hope she gets some more practice in before taking her test.
