The Limited-Edition Mazda MX-5 RF 'Sport Black' Is Actually Blue
Say hello to Mazda’s latest limited-run MX-5, the RF Sport Black. The first thing we noticed? It’s, erm, blue. The ‘Black’ bit of the name merely refers to the car’s contrasting black door mirrors and rear spoiler.
But that’s just fine by us, as the finish - called Eternal Blue Mica - is particularly lovely.
Along with the fancy finish, the RF SB has leather seats, rain-sensing wipers, rear parking sensors and auto headlights, along with everything else you’d normally find fitted to a 2.0-litre SE-L Nav-trimmed MX-5.
The naturally-aspirated inline-four has been untouched, which means you have 158bhp available, with the modest drove of horses making its way to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. 0-62mph takes 7.4 seconds, and the top speed is 134mph.
Want one? It goes on sale in the UK on 28th May for £25,695, which is £1110 more than a standard 2.0-litre SE-L Nav RF.
