A rare chance to grab all sorts of Graham Hill memorabilia is inbound. On 4 November at its London sale, RM Sotheby’s will be auctioning The Graham Hill collection, which is coming directly from the Hill family itself.

There’s loads of stuff available, although the two-time champion’s Bell helmet might just be the highlight. It was worn by Hill “for at least 16 races” during the 1972, 1973 and 1974 Formula 1 seasons, and as you’d probably expect, it’s going to be quite expensive, with an estimate of £20,000 - £20,000.

You could get Hill’s Nomex overalls, complete with the man’s name embroidered about the right chest pocket. It’ll be going for £8,000 - £12,000, RM reckons.

The items with the highest estimates are some of Graham Hill’s many trophies. His 1962 FIA Driver’s World Champion cup is estimated to go for £25,000 to £35,000, while his 1969 Monaco Grand Prix trophy is thought to be worth anything up to £50,000. It’s a poignant one, as it was the last of Hill’s five victories at Monte Carlo, a run of wins that earned him the name ‘Mr Monaco’.

Hill, of course, had plenty of high-profile success outside of Formula 1, most notably winning the 1972 24 Hours of Le Mans. His Moët & Chandon Trophy from the event has an estimate of £20,000 to £30,000.

So far, so expensive, but some of the quirkier lots are expected to go for a whole lot less. There’s a collection of badges, cufflinks and keyrings, for example, that are listed at £200 - £300, and a model of Hill's 1962 championship-winning BRM, presented to the driver by the BRSCC is estimated at £500 - £1000.

Perhaps you'd like four BRDC Gold Stars awarded to Hill (£300 - £500 est.), or a 'pole position cigarette box' from the 1967 US Grand Prix (£800 - £1,500 est.)
