Lotus Hasn't Paid Kimi This Year, So The Finn's On Strike

Kimi Raikkonen, who returns to Ferrari in 2014, has threatened to miss the final two races of the season if Lotus breaks an "understanding" made prior to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This promise, which is to do with his unpaid wages this year, was the only reason why Raikkonen travelled to the Yas Marina Circuit to compete in the race weekend after failing to show up for media commitments on Thursday.

He said: "I came here only because hopefully we found an understanding on the certain issues we have been having. Hopefully it will be fixed and we can finish the season as well as we can."

But would the 'Iceman' contemplate walking out of the final two races? "For sure," he replied. "I enjoy racing, I enjoy driving - but a big part of it is business. Sometimes when that is not dealt with like it should we end up in an unfortunate situation. You have to put the line somewhere, and if it goes over that...it is not really my fault anymore."

Raikkonen's loyalty to the team has been questioned, something that also frustrates Raikkonen as he continues to race without pay. "Sometimes it is not very nice when you hear that you are not really a team player, and you don't have the interests of the team
