Marussia F1 Cars And Equipment Will Be Sold In Auction Soon

In October, the Marussia F1 Team entered administration, before officially closing its doors earlier this month. The Banbury-based team attempted to make it to the 2014 Formula 1 season finale in Abu Dhabi, but - unlike rivals Caterham - failed to do so.
Following a year of two halves for Marussia - from an encouraging start and points in Monaco to Jules Bianchi’s horrendous crash in Japan - Marussia’s cars and equipment are now set to go under the hammer in an online auction.

The public auction will take place from 10:00am (GMT) on the 16th and 17th of December. It will include Marussia race cars (without engines), a complete test lab, team trucks, a complete machine shop and spare parts.

Pictures on the website advertising the auction also show what looks to be the wind tunnel model of the team’s 2015 car, as well as a wide array of production and office equipment.
The auction, which is by order of the administrators, looks to be the official end of the Marussia F1 Team, unless a savior for it can be found in the very short space of time before the equipment is sold.
