The McLaren 720S Has Finally Been Beaten In A Rolling Drag
The McLaren 720S has proved how ridiculously, face-bendingly fast it is against all sorts of machines, most recently out-dragging a Dodge Demon from a rolling start – a race that wasn’t even close.
Today, CTzens, we can bring you a video that was originally posted a few weeks ago, showing an informal rolling drag race between a 720S and a lightly tuned Kawasaki Ninja H2 motorbike. The 710bhp 4.0-litre V8 in the McLaren faces off against a 230bhp supercharged one-litre four-pot (although a ram-air effect boosts that to over 240bhp at speed). That is a very, very quick bike.
It’s a measure of the 720S’s epic, brutal acceleration that it gets the drop on the bike in both the rolling drags in this video, from what we think is about 40mph. It’s only after a second or two, when the Ninja gets into its stride, that it begins to dominate. That thing is a weapon. Needless to say, silly speeds are quickly achieved…

Do It With Dan is the man
Ahhh… What is a “ram air effect”
Great Scott!
…by a bike. Really? We all know how fast bikes are. They weigh damn near nothing with insanely powerful engines by comparison. How anyone could think of any other result is absurd. It’s like pitting a Chow Chow (dog breed with the strongest bite) against a lion in a cage fight. One’s clearly strong as hell, but we all know what the result is gonna be.
Sorry if I’m just ranting, but for real, a bike, a superbike, against a car. It’s not anywhere near fair.
Lets wait for the bp23
233hp in a bike?
Gosh that thing must really fly.
That bike is a serious weapon. But I reckon if both drivers weighed 300lb, the 720S would triumph.
I was expecting the bike to destroy the mclaren but damn it held its own, iv now got more respect for that 720
let’s go around a few corners now… it is not really fair to compare a car and a bike. They are completely different besides having an engine and wheels.
First off, do it with dan ftw, 2nd make your own content, 3rd this video has been up for days, your not even remotely close to being first to this.
