McLaren Has Just Revealed How Bonkers Fast The 600LT Is
Last week, McLaren revealed the new 600LT to the world. Best thought of as the Sport Series’ answer to the old 675LT, it takes a 570S, ups the power to 592bhp, sheds nearly 100kg, and gains fancy double wishbone suspension pinched from Woking’s Super Series range. Oh, and let’s not forget those super-sticky Pirelli Trofeo R tyres at each corner.
At the time, the British supercar builder refrained from giving us any performance statistics, but just before the car makes its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, we have a full set of numbers. And damn, are they impressive.
0-62mph takes just 2.9 seconds, which is exactly the same as a Lamborghini Huracan Performante and the 675LT. In fact, it’ll apparently be faster than the last LT car around some circuits. 0-124mph takes just 8.2 seconds meanwhile, some seven tenths quicker than the Lambo. Keep your right foot pinned, and it’ll keep going until a top speed of 204mph.
The 600LT gains an extended front splitter, a longer rear diffuser and a bigger, fixed rear wing, extending the car by 74mm. Hence the LT standing for ‘Longtail’. The new aero package generates 100kg of downforce at 155mph. Impressive, but quite a bit behind the Ferrari 488 Pista, which is good for 325kg at the same speed.
Want one? You’re looking at £185,500, which includes professional tuition at a Pure McLaren Road Owner Track Day - useful if you don’t want to become YouTube-famous after stuffing it into a barrier.
Happy to lay down an extra £24,170? You could opt for the MSO Clubsport Pack, which includes titanium wheel bolts, carbonfibre seats, a carbon interior pack, a carbonfibre roof and gloss-finished carbonfibre louvres. We’re sensing a theme here. Alternatively there’s the £28,480 MSO Clubsport Pro Pack, which has all of the above plus a six-point harness.
The car is available to order now.

WHILE BEING RWD!
Well done McLaren, shows Lightness>AWD and a bunch or rowdy power
You bet! And if the LaFerrari or P1 can handle THOSE levels of power without roasting the rear tires every time you set off then Lamborghini can lighten their sporty models by ditching AWD.
The power to weight ratio must be friggin insane on that thing
So £28,480 for a six point harness or £24,170. Either way, it’s a rip off for a six point harness
Or you could not opt the pack. That works too
And then no one complains about how the Weissach Pack from Porsche is like 40k
The car itself is already damn expensive
And there’s still some microtransactions that we could opt for
McLaren has gone Turn 10
It’s so much more capable compared to a standard 570S though. I wouldn’t mind getting the club sport pack (also keep in mind that you don’t have to get the CS pack either!)
Better get the 6 Point Harness or you’ll end up arse up when trying that kind of acceleration…
Sub 7 Nurburgring?
Probably. My guess is that it’ll do something similar to the GT3RS with a time of something like 6:58
How is the wing bigger if the normal 570s has none?
The 570S has a lip spoiler, which counts as a wing I guess. It has more surface area
Ye, where are the computers fans
Just shows how fast the 720s is
Even though I’m a massive 675LT fan, I’ll take one..
No, make that two…
Britain won today
