Meet The Callaway AeroWagon, Ferrari FF's Worst Nightmare
Great news! There's going to be a shooting brake version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray. Bad news? It's going to cost an extra $15,000 on top of a new 'Vette ($52,000), and you'll have to wait until next year to get your mitts on one. Oh well, swings and roundabouts and all that.
It's called the AeroWagon, and will be built by Callaway, who since time immemorial have been making Corvettes go really, really fast.
The company first teased the AeroWagon way back in March, but only this week confirmed you're actually going to be able to buy one. The hatch is finished as standard in carbon fibre, but buyers can opt to have theirs finished in the same colour as the remainder of their car for an additional $1,500.
All in, this is a $67,000 (£41,000) car. And that, dear readers, is an absolute bargain. In the UK, the Stingray costs £61,000 ($99,000) - so you're looking at £70k if you absolutely must have an AeroWagon shipped over. Still a bargain? Yep. By way of contrast, a Ferrari FF - which isn't that much faster, and no better looking - is a whole £160,000 more expensive.
So, dear readers. You like?
