The Mercedes-AMG GT R Has Shown Its Face Early Thanks To Leaked Pics

We’re just hours away from the full reveal of the Mercedes AMG GT-R, but if you’re a tad impatient, here are some leaked images for you. They appeared on The German Car Forum, and they show a car with plenty of extra exterior aggression to match the expected increase in power.

We have a much more intake-heavy front bumper plus some snazzy vertical slats in the main grille, beefy side skirts, big cooling ducts on the rear bumper plus a new spoiler and diffuser combo.

We’ll know for sure when the car has its full reveal this evening, but the latest batch of rumours suggest a power output of around 570bhp from a revised version of the dry-sumped 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 found in the GT-S.

Elsewhere under the skin, we can expect a heavily revised suspension setup and bigger brakes to turn the GT into a more track-friendly beast.

I think people calling it ugly don’t see the historical resemblance of that grill.
I still think it could have done with even more power (600 PS would be a nice figure, and maybe 620PS or so for the Black Series) if it wants to compete with AWD Porsche 911 Turbo S
