The Mercedes-AMG GT3 Looks Like It'll Eat All Other Race Cars For Breakfast
GT3 race cars have never really been ugly, but it seems the latest crop of vehicles aiming to compete in the class are all ludicrously attractive. BMW’s new M6 GT3 was revealed just a couple of weeks ago, and not long before that we were busy drooling over the racing version of the Lamborghini Huracan. BMW will be joining the FIA GT3 field in 2016, and so will its arch German rival Mercedes with this aggressive-looking so-and-so: the AMG GT3.
Now, you can’t exactly accuse the standard AMG GT of being a shrinking violet, but this racing version ups the aggression to 11 and then some. Details are limited at the moment, and all we’ve got right now is this pointlessly darkened photo (which we’ve brightened for your viewing pleasure using all of the Photoshop skills we could possibly muster), but we’ll know all when the car makes its debut at the Geneva motor show in a few weeks.
What’s most interesting though, is that reports suggest this SLS GT3 replacement could spawn a track-focused, street-legal version. Yes please, Mercedes.
