Mini Paceman Pickup Concept: Hot Or Not?

Whether it's the Clubman, the Countryman, or the new Paceman, we're not really big fans of cars in the Mini range that aren't actually the Mini itself. They all take that classic look and warp it into ungainly shapes. All of them, that is, apart from this: the Paceman Adventure concept.

We find this one-off much more appealing. Created by BMW Group apprentices at Munich and Dingolfing, it's based on the rather ugly Paceman 'Sports Activity Coupe' (below), but with the rear hacked away to make a pick-up. It's been given a higher ground clearance, and various off road bits like chunkier tyres and a snorkel.

There are no plans to put the Adventure into production, which is a shame as we rather like it. But what do you think? Has turning the Paceman into a pickup resulted in a looker, or is it still a porky eyesore? Get voting!
