Mitsubishi Fanboys Rejoice: The Evo X Is Coming Back To The UK

To celebrate its 40th anniversary in the UK, Mitsubishi is bringing over 40 Evo Xs with 440bhp apiece

Mitsubishi Evo X

After disappearing from UK Mitsubishi salesrooms a few years ago, the Evolution X is back, and it's no bog-standard model. Timed to coincide with Mitsubishi's 40th anniversary in the UK, it's dubbed FQ-440 MR and will come with a huge 440bhp and 412lb/ft. But you'd better be quick: just 40 are making their way over from Japan.

After several years absence, the Evo X is back in the UK, but not for long

The power comes from a 2.0-litre four-pot with an HKS turbo, sending power to all four wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The suspension has received a 35mm drop at the front and 30mm at the rear with Eibach springs, while beefier Alcon brakes have been slotted in at each corner.

It'll be available in just one colour - Frost White - and prospective owners will need to stump up £50,000. It'll need a fair amount of TLC, too, with oil changes initially required every 1000 miles.
