This Moronic Book-Reading Driver Must Think She's In One Of Google's Autonomous Cars

Despite driving down a busy motorway at 70mph, this driver thought it was a good time to immerse herself in a good book

We’ve nothing against reading a good book, but there’s a time and a place. And that time and place certainly isn’t while you’re behind the wheel of a car, driving at 70mph down a busy motorway. But that’s exactly how this idiotic motorist chose to catch up on some reading, as she was driving down the M1 in Nottinghamshire.

Other drivers apparently signalled their displeasure at the driver’s stupid actions with flashing lights and horns, causing her merely to wave back and smile in response. Nottinghamshire Police is seeking to prosecute the driver.

With people like this on the roads, maybe Google’s autonomous cars won’t be such a bad thing for some people…
