MTM's Savage RS6 Avant Is A 712bhp Beast
Audi's brawny RS6 is hardly lacking power, having a 553bhp 4-litre twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet. For some though, there's no such thing as 'enough power'. And for people of that opinion with an Audi on the driveway, their first port of call is usually MTM.
German tuning bods Motoren Technik Mayer have a habit of taking already quick cars, particularly Audis, and turning them into absolute monsters. Their latest effort is this unhinged C7 RS6. The engine electrics have been reworked and a shouty stainless steel exhaust added, which ups the power to a terrifying 712bhp. 0-60 is dispatched in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it 3.3 seconds, while the electronically limited 155mph top speed is headbutted in under 19 seconds.
Brembo monobloc six-piston brakes on the front axle meanwhile ensure all that extra performance doesn't result in a gigantic crash. The exterior is reasonably laid-back, with carbon door mirrors and a set of beefy 20" MTM bimoto rims being the only obvious changes.
The price for all this power? £11,500. Hardly cheap, but then considering an RS6 is about £75,000 in the first place, that's no so bad. If you're still not tempted, just take a listen to what that 4-litre V8 sounds like through MTM's frankly naughty exhaust system.
