My Trip to a Fun Mountain Road, and why I Loved it (Plus plenty of pictures)
Ever since I first found a fun twisty road, I’ve been itching to find one that truly pushed my car, allowing me use all 300 of it’s horses. Finally, I discovered a mountain road.

The Trip
It took me an hour to get there, and 55 miles of mixed travel. After the standard highway run, I passed through a small town near the mountain. There was beautiful scenery throughout the trip, and landscapes that starkly contrasted the urban feel of where I live. The total trip there and back with some fun driving was 100+ miles, and a half tank of gas.
Compared to the roads I’ve driven on before, the mountain pass has to be my favorite. It truly suits fast cars, allowing drivers to push their cars to the limit. The long sweeping curves allow for very high speeds throughout. There are smaller curves, but they still allow for high speeds, unlike the near 90 degree curves I drove on before.
Mixed between curves are long straights, which offer a nice change of pace.
It ended up pouring, leading to the car looking like a mess when I made it home. Here’s the aftermath…
Luckily, dirt doesn't pop out on red...
Not only was this little “road trip” fun, but I gained more respect for my car. It was a champ through the trips there and back as well as the fun driving! It remained flat in the corners, and after perfectly rev matched downshifts, rocketed out with the engine screaming up to the 6,500 rpm redline.
Thanks for reading! Again, I took clips of some of the driving I did which you can find here: https://youtu.be/ktDZC8fnTCQ . I left the camera off for more of the “fun” I had… Follow for more articles and updates on the mustang!
