Naturally, people are very keen to see Jaguar's next-generation flagship XJ. As such rumors have been swirling about the car over the few months and there has been a deluge of information, including recent revelation of a ER-EV XJ in a recent report. There has been a few renderings as well, many based on the Jaguar C-XF Concept. British magazine AutoExpress has produced some renderings of the car tha should offer us a very good look at the car.

Like AutoExpress said, we've been hearing about this car for months! I can't wait to see the thing finally. With these renderings, we do get to see a very good look at it, as it has been produced with insider input by a reputable news source with contacts inside of Jaguar.

They do look extremely realistic; the XJ exhibits a more dramatic, yet more grown-up interpretation of the new Jaguar style. Unlike the retro-themed previous XJ was ever able to really do, the new model is designed to battle head-to-toe with the segment's leaders. Mercedes S-Class, Audi A8, VW Phaeton, BMW 7-Series; you name it. It should acquit itself very well; the XF has shown Jaguar still knows how to make an amazing car.

The XJ has an aggressive, fastback roofline much like the XJ, but eschews the horizontally-oriented taillights of the XF for a a more block-like style. It looks familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is. Definitely a looker, and from the sounds of it the XJ probably would be my choice of vehicle in this segment.

The new car is described as one of the most "radical it (Jaguar) has ever produced".

AutoCar says the car should have a reveal in July with a public debut in September at the Frankfurt Auto Show. Never fear though, if the past few months are anything to go by there will be tons of information, leaks and renderings on the car as those dates draw near.
