New Jeep Renegade: Hot Or Not?
As a rule, us Brits don't buy Jeeps. But that could be about to change thanks to the introduction of the new Renegade model whose rugged-looking, boxy body, sits on Fiat 500L underpinnings.
It'll be available in either front-wheel drive or permanent four-wheel drive. In Europe, we'll get a choice of Fiat Group petrol and diesel engines. Opt for an unleaded-powered machine, and you can spec the 1.4-litre MultiAir unit in either naturally aspirated or turbo flavours (138bhp and 168bhp respectively), or a 2.4-litre four-pot with 184bhp. Fancy an oil-burner? There's a 1.6-litre with or without a turbo (118bhp and 108bhp), or a 2.0-litre MultiJet with 138bhp and a burly 258lb/ft.
The looks, though? We're not convinced it'll have the aesthetic appeal to bag the buyers, which is why we're now opening the floor to you...
