New Kia Stonic Crossover Is Like A Nissan Juke But Less Ugly
Another day, another crossover. This one’s a Kia, and we think it’s quite a looker. It’s called the Stonic, which kind of reminds us of Sonic the Hedgehog. Maybe that’s the idea.
With a choice of three small-ish petrol engines and a 1.6-litre diesel, Stonic owners won’t be moving as fast as Sega’s favourite spiny mammal. But Kia promises that it’ll be decent to drive, with agile handling and a sporty ride.
As with a lot of small crossovers, you get personalisation aplenty. 20 two-tone colours will be available, and five colours can be specced for the roof. The optional individuality continues inside, with all the colour packs you could probably want. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard fit, which is nice.
Kia says that compact crossover sales are expected to double to more than two million a year by 2020. It’s no wonder, then, that the Stonic is set to be one of the company’s biggest sellers.
The Stonic will go on sale in the autumn, and will feature Kia’s seven-year warranty.
This, or a Juke?

90% of cheap cars in Europe are manuals. Autos are kinda rare outside of premium cars
KIAs they are getting better and more beautiful
The name sounds like a type of tonic water found in stones.
You’re calling the Juke an ugly car?
I’M TRIGGERED
dude
its really ugly
and useless
Sonic: Who are you?
Stonic: I am u, but car (with T for copyright infringement)
This if I must choose between those two, but I’d rather have a car, any car, over an SUV. Maybe not a Mitsubishi Mirage. but any other car over an SUV
Headlights kinda look like the stangs
“This, or a Juke?”
No thankyou, I would rather get on the bus.
Just as ugly*
No, it’s much better.
Stonic? More like Stinkic.
