The Next Fast And Furious Film Could Go To Space, And We're Not Sure Whether It's A Joke Or Not

Let’s just get one thing straight: we’re not sure whether this is actually serious or just a director totally trolling the Fast and Furious fanbase over the increasingly implausible antics in the movie series.

According to an article on Screen Rant, F. Gary Gray, the director of The Fate of the Furious, has said that it’s not out of the question for future films to see the much-loved cast in space.

We all know that the Furious film series has gotten steadily more ridiculous over time, leaving the door open for something classier like Baby Driver. F&F production budgets are up, stunt quotas went through the roof and a frankly ludicrous amount of damage was caused to the fictional world around the characters. People have joked about them going to space at some point, such is the comical whimsy of the writers behind the franchise.

Screen Rant quotes Gray as laughing with the jokers, but also as refusing to rule out a space adventure for Dom and the gang. He said:

“Outer space? Listen, I wouldn’t rule anything with this franchise. When I read submarine I’m like ‘OK, anything’s possible’. You never know. I haven’t read ‘Dom on Mars’ yet but again, you just never know.”

The increasing madness of the film series has seen the franchise turn into a multi-billion-dollar behemoth, so it’s only logical for it to continue escalating. After getting a fairly large submarine involved in the last film, who knows? After all, someone made a film franchise based on a tornado filled with sharks, and that (somehow) makes tonnes of money.

What do you think? Would space adventures be one small step for ending your interest in the Fast series, or one giant leap for pulling you to the cinema?

This is like a maths lesson, back in the day its fill with nunbers and at high school you will be surprise to see a number on the question.. In the same way as fast and furious where it was filled with cars and racing and then ended up surprised to see 1 race..
