The Next Jeep Wrangler Will Look Something Like The Butch Crew Chief Concept
A week and a half ago, Jeep chucked out no less than seven concepts for the 50th Moab Jeep Safari. Naturally, the Hellcat-engined Trailcat was the one that caught our attention, but the Crew Chief 715 is also rather significant, as it gives a fair few indications as to what the next Wrangler could look like.
Speaking to Outside, Mark Allen - Jeep’s head of design - said: “there may be things you see on the Crew Chief that you might see on that truck”.
Perhaps the easiest way to imagine exactly how the Wrangler will look is to take away the bits Allen rules out. We won’t be seeing a stamped tailgate as they’re simply “fraught with quality issues”, nor will we see a slanted nose, something which has made an appearance on several concepts before, but Allen states that “I think this is the last time we’re going to do it, honestly.”
One thing that is likely, however, is a four-door crew cab layout for the pickup. “We’ve never done a crew cab pickup [concept] before. Hint, hint,” Allen says.
Wrangler production is expected to kick off for the 2018 model year, with the pickup variant joining the ranks later on.

I like it the way it is: old school. For those who say that it is stealing bits from other cars, it’s basically a modern version of the 1963-1987 Gladiator J-series pickup.
No and what cost 100k
