The legendary RB26 straight-six that powered the R32, R33 and R34-generation Skyline GT-R is being built once more. Well, chunks of it - Nissan’s Nismo Heritage Parts collection has just expanded by another 24 parts, and that includes key components of the 2.6-litre engine.

The RB26’s block, cylinder head, harness and exhaust system are among the latest additions to the programme, which already offers a wide range of brand new R32/33/34 bits and pieces. According to the price list, you’re looking at 170,000 yen (£1180) for the block and 187,000 (£1300) for the head.

As spotted by Jalopnik, you can also have the stronger part number A1000-RHR30 block from the RB26DETT N1. It’s quite a bit more expensive, though - you’ll need to part with 425,000 yen (nearly £3000) to bag one.

Need some body parts for an R32? You’re in luck - Nismo is once more making roof panels are rear wings for the car, along with other exterior pieces previously announced under the scheme.

Most of the new parts are available for delivery from 1 April, with a handful arriving later in the year.
