Nissan's 18,000-Watt Juke Box Will Blow Your Brains Out!

Usually, when a manufacturer announces a limited edition car, you would expect changes such as a more powerful engine, packages that make it handle better or a beefed up body kit. Nissan have launched another special edition Juke but instead of inserting the engine from the GT-R they've teamed up with the Ministry of Sound to make the Juke Box.
Instead of the usual and boring manufacturer spec stereo, the Juke Box has the world's most powerful sound system ever fitted to a car. To put into perspective just how powerful it is, the optional Bang and Olufson surround sound system you can get for £6,000 in almost any Audi produces 600 watts of power. The 20 speaker Bowers & Wilkins system you get in the Jaguar XJ Portfolio produces 1200 watts of power. The one in the Juke Box produces 18,900 watts. Eighteen. Thousand!
That means it should be very, very loud, and it is. Maximum sound output is 150 decibels which makes it louder than a jumbo jet taking off! After about a month of owning this car and making use of that sound system, you will be deaf. Guaranteed.
The custom built rig has been specifically designed so that it can fit into any standard Nissan Juke's boot. The two 18-inch subs are attached to the bootlid so that you can turn your Juke into a mini yet very powerful stage.
The Juke Box will make its debut at the Le Mans 24 hour race today and then it will turn up at many parties across Europe over summer called Juke Box Sessions. Here's a short video of two of them in action.
