Say hello to the N-Largo Ferrari 488 GTB, a slightly moustachioed beast that looks like it wants to hurt you.

This latest product from German tuner Novitec has an extended front bumper to attack both the air and the top of speedbumps, which can be specified in naked carbon fibre. But it’s arguably at the back where it looks most purposeful, and this is a good thing, because that’s probably what you’ll be seeing most of.

The angry diffuser is taken from the regular 488, but the huge slashes and air intakes are new. As is the wing, which you could almost call restrained. Well, maybe not, but it’s definitely not as OTT as some of the supercar tuning creations we’ve had to look at recently.

It’s not all carbon fibre body kit and no trousers, though. Apparently the 661bhp that the standard 488 kicks out is a bit weedy, so if you buy one of these, you’ll have a whopping 772bhp at your disposal.

Novitec’s fettling has increased the top speed to 212mph – 8mph higher than the standard 488 offers – and brought the 0-60 time down to 2.8 seconds. Novitec says, however, that with a flick of a switch, the power will revert back to the original figure.

The suspension has also been upgraded, and the car sits lower than a normal 488 on a new set of springs.

The stratospheric power and aggressive looks will only be enjoyed first-hand by a handful of people: just 22 cars will find owners – 11 roadsters and 11 hardtops.

So what’s this?
Make it more extreme so it catches fire and burns faster and better?
Well whatever Ferrari owners are into.

If I had $3 for every “I have $3” comment this is gonna get, I could eventually afford the car.

Wait… How did you create that effect that it pushes the text over the first picture when scrolling down? I thought only mods could do that?

“Largo” is an Italian music term, and it means very slow. Yes, even modified Ferraris have stupid names.

Novitec is one of the few tuners who makes cars actually more unique and interesting rather than ricing them up (hello mansory)
