Now's The Time To Grab Yourself A Subaru BRZ Bargain

Improved pound/yen exchange rates mean the Toyota GT86's brother has dropped in price, something that could boost flagging sales

We're big fans of the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT86, but one of the few criticisms has been the inflated price. Luckily, that's something Subaru is addressing by cutting the price of its BRZ by £2500 in the UK. That makes the on-the-road price of the manual gearbox model £23,995, and the auto £25,495, which is roughly what you'd pay for the entry-level GT86.

Subaru is keen to point out two reasons for the price drop: the better exchange rate between the pound and the yen, and to widen the gap between the BRZ and the upcoming WRX STI, which will be priced from £28,995 upwards. One other reason why Subaru has slashed the sports car's price is to boost sales. The BRZ hasn't sold in anything like the numbers the GT86 has, a car which itself has failed to meet Toyota's sales targets. If you're in the market, go grab yourself a bargain.
