Now's Your Chance To Buy F&F's Famous Toyota Supra
What’s quite possibly the most famous car from the whole Fast and Furious franchise is now up for grabs. Yep, we’re talking about Brian’s orange Toyota Supra, the one he used to race Dom’s Dodge Charger during the final scene of 2001’s The Fast and the Furious.
It’s being auctioned by DuPont Registry, and while no estimated price is given, it’ll almost certainly be jolly expensive. It’s described as a ‘stunt car’, and was used throughout the film.
It was built by ‘The Shark Shop’ in El Segundo, California, and comes with lots of shiny bits like Dazz Motorsport alloy wheels, a roll cage and a Bomex bodykit. However, before you get too excited about quarter-mile glory and blowing away Ferrari 355s at the traffic lights, this probably isn’t quite the ‘10 second car’ that it’s portrayed as in the film. After all, it’s a non-turbo model, and the listing states that those nitrous bottles in the boot aren’t attached to anything…
Want to keep an eye on the auction? The car will go under the hammer at Dana Mecum’s 28th Original Spring Classic at Indiana State Fairgrounds, which takes place 12-17 May.
