Now's Your Chance To Buy Jenson Button's Old Ford GT
How about this for a noisy piece of F1 history? It’s a lightly used Ford GT, formerly owned by none other than 2009 champion Jenson Button.
It’s one of the 101 GTs that came to Europe, and one of only five marked as ‘VIP’ cars. Since being built in 2005, the 550bhp, 5.4-litre V8-powered car has done just 8350 miles.
The current owner acquired the GT in 2011, and in the intervening years it’s received all the servicing and attention an ultra-rare supercar should. If you like what you see - and are particularly well off - we have good news: this particular GT is being auctioned off later this month.
It’s going under the hammer during Silverstone Autction’s Race Retro auction in Warwickshire on either 25 or 26 February, with an estimate of £250,000 - £300,000. A fair chunk of money for sure - as Button would probably say - but given the silly prices some modern classic supercars are going for these days, that doesn’t seem so bad…

My dream since JB retired from F1 is that he should become a youtuber
He has an amazing personality and some proper cars in his garage
did someone say hammer?
I thought Jenson had a taste in cars
He has a P1 as well (Monaco registered)
Maybe you’re the one with bad taste?
Why am I reminded of this?
