Now's Your Chance To Own The Most Beautiful Mustang We've Seen This Year
Mustangs just don’t come any nicer. This four-speed manual 1965 GT Fastback has been given a complete custom build, from the motor and suspension to the spectacular engine bay and interior. The more you look at it, the better it gets.
The care and attention to detail in this thing looks staggering. Let’s start with the rear tyres, which are far wider than you’d normally be able to fit. A narrower rear axle was fitted, adding compatibility for a full set of Baer disc brakes, before the leaf springs were modified to clear wider tyres. It’s now shod with 275-section 18-inch rubber that should make it a lot harder for the professionally built engine to make too much trouble.
Speaking of the V8, it’s a 400bhp, 470lb ft stroker with capacity raised to 6.8 litres. Built by Racing Head Service with Roush valve covers, polished everything and anodised blue and red details, the only thing we reckon betters the way it looks is the way it sounds. It’s seriously knee-weakening stuff. The YouTube walkaround video below does the business – skip to 45 seconds in for the engine start.
If you’re not already in love (if not, why not, you weirdo?), this is all brand new equipment with modern reliability. The seller, Viva Las Vegas Autos, says less than 1500 miles have passed beneath the car since the build was completed.
It even has the full plumbing for nitrous injection, although it hasn’t been used yet. Beneath the car the visible exhaust tips are fakes, with the real ones ending just before reaching the rear wheels. It even has cool LED lighting in the classic circular headlamps.
Built by the son of the original owners, the work completed over two decades reportedly runs well into six figures. Almost every single component was replaced or upgraded. The paint and bodywork alone cost $32,000 in 1996, which is more like $50,000 in today’s money.
When Viva Las Vegas Autos took possession, the interior was swapped from the grey velour of a 1994 Mustang GT to a completely new, stunning bespoke perforated leather design that manages to look classic and modern at the same time. The steering wheel, head lining, floor materials and window seals were also replaced.
The full spec list is on the eBay US advert, and although the pictures in the main text area don’t seem to be displaying at the moment, the spec list makes for some pretty erotic reading even if you ignore the scantily-clad model (because Vegas, baby) draped over the car in half the working pics.
If there’s a better, cleaner, more desirable Mustang out there, we’d love to see it.

Too old to be a crowd surfer. That’s the Fox Bodies and newer
Can we please have no mustang jokes on this post?
The exact same minute you posted this..
I wish we could, but mustang jokes CRASH the upvote competition.
By tomorrow it’s gonna be last year’s, so…
Took me a second. Lol. That’s cool I’ll take it.

Thats a ferrari, not a mustang.
Dats too ez.
Not to sound offensive but those are the kind of rims a kid in GTA would buy if he was playing forza….. But ya know, if i had 50 k id have enough to change them
Nah, those aren’t dollar sign wheels.
No way, they fit the car perfectly.
I thought the fastback was at least a year after the original gt?
Kind of. The first mustang was known as a 1964 1/2 model (although the VIN numbers showed a 1965). It wasn’t until the full 1965 model that they introduced the fastback
Well, it is not the most beautiful. GT350 in 1965 with Le Mans blue racing stripes keeps me love.
Stock over restomod anyday, i hate these stupid digital guages that are becoming all too common in classics…
Oh chit dat’s nice. Reminds me of Counting Cars; it’s so dang good-looking!
Beautiful car, although if they were going to go with modern running gear, why not use a 6 or at least 5 speed instead of a 4 speed? I would think with an extra gear or two you could get some closer ratios for better acceleration
6.8L !!!
I don’t think this car was built with performance in mind, and the simplicity of a 4 speed goes well with the car. And no doubt this engine will have no trouble to get the car moving!
